essence of life currently conducts the following weekly events:
Tuesday Night Islamic Creed (Tawheed) Lesson every Tuesday night at EOL Centre, after Ishaa. Lessons cover various aspects of Islamic Creed (Tawheed) and are conducted in English by our resident Sheikh, Sheikh Jamil. More information can be found here.
Wednesday Night Jurisprudence (Fiqh) Lesson every Wednesday night at EOL Centre, after Ishaa. Lessons cover Islamic Jurisprudence (Fiqh) in light of the Quran and Sunnah and are conducted in Arabic by Sheikh Dr. Ma'an. More information can be found here.
Friday Night General Lesson every Friday night at Omar Mosque, after Ishaa. Lessons cover a range of classical topics and also delve into contemporary issues. Men, women and children are welcome. Lectures are conducted in English by our resident Sheikh, as well as special guest Sheikhs from all over Australia and the world. More information can be found here.
Saturday Morning Islamic College of Wollongong every Saturday 10am-1pm during school terms at EOL Centre. Lessons cover a range of classical topics and also delve into contemporary issues by studying three streams; Islamic Creed, Islamic Fiqh and the Seerah of the Prophet (saaw). Lectures are conducted in English by our resident Sheikh. Sisters classes run in the mornings and Brothers classes run in the afternoon. More information can be found here.
Saturday Night "Youth Drop-In" every Saturday night from 6pm -10pm at EOL Centre. Youth are encouraged to drop in to meet and mingle with fellow brothers. Youth are free to utilise the EOL Library, spend time with EOL Committee role models as well as participate in a range of activities including sports, games, video games, DVDs and even a BBQ. Drop-In nights are fully supervised by EOL Committee members. More information can be found here.
Sunday Night Quran Recitiation Classes held every Sunday after Ishaa at the EOL Centre. Classes focus on learning how to read the Quran, and are instructed by Sheikh Dr Ma'an. . More information can be found here.
